Silke Natschke is a visual artist, living in Frankfurt, Germany. She spent 4 years in Washington, DC with her family, having enjoyed the opportunity to live and breathe another culture, language and nature. It provided a great amount of inspiration and new looks on her work. Her interest in her work stems foremost from the wish to explore in human nature. She mastered in philosophy and American literature building the background for her search into questions related to every day life, our thoughts and actions. She tries to acknowledge the many layers of history and ancestry without clinging to false traditions, hopes and expectations. She is not intending to create certain patterns but to search for traces and fragments of the truth that lies within every human being.
